KOPRIVNICA, September 30, 2026 – The Croatian U15 wrestling national team concluded its campaign at the Balkan Wrestling Championship in Koprivnica with an impressive tally of six medals. In today’s semifinal and final bouts, Croatia’s rising talents earned one silver and five bronze medals, reaffirming the technical depth and promise of Croatian wrestling across youth divisions.

On home soil at the “Josip Samaržija – Bepo” Sports Hall, three female wrestlers and three male wrestlers climbed onto the podium, highlighted by an outstanding third-place finish in the overall boys’ team standings.

The Medalists: One Silver and Five Bronze Medals for Croatia’s Young Prospects

In the women’s wrestling division, Croatia claimed three bronze medals:

  • Anabela Tašić – Bronze Medal (up to 42 kg)

  • Lea Majić – Bronze Medal (up to 50 kg)

  • Iva Pezić – Bronze Medal (up to 54 kg)

In the boys’ division, three more medals were secured:

  • Mihael Djok – Silver Medal (up to 57 kg)

  • David Hlatki – Bronze Medal (up to 57 kg)

  • Josip Vidović – Bronze Medal (up to 75 kg)

The 57 kg category was a standout success, with two Croatian wrestlers sharing the podium—Mihael Djok taking silver and David Hlatki earning bronze.
